You could  have the greatest impact on a love one or a total stranger’s life, by this Gift of Life…

I rececently wrote a article   “Why These Keywords Could Save Your Life“, thinking this would be one of the most important articles that I could write. Boy did it miss the boat…disappointed, yes because, not all people are heartless! Why, because it is a simple thought, an action from the heart, a chance to give a “gift of life” sometime in your life.

 Why is this so difficult?  Is it the thought process of accepting the idea, or that it is OK, or OK for me to receive, but not to give. As this  is the thought process, it does not even enter your mind until a tragedy or life threating incident becomes present.  It’s most likely been discussed several times before a decision might be reached and even more difficult amongst families, where a decision may have a impact on all the love ones.

The organ donors today make up about half who are living, because the have an understanding of the donees health situation, or  sometimes life and death situation.  These  organ Donors are mostly made up of  relatives, children, or parents. Yet a Donor may also  be totally unrelated, a stranger  surrounding this act of Love.

To become a Organ Donor, you can  register on  your Drivers License, or for more  information, you can go to Official U.S. Gov. Web Site.

If you research the above site. or click on the U.S. Gov.Web Site. you find there is a Great Need for some one to qualify for a donor. Read the facts, the need for donors is rising faster than the availble donors. After all it might be you or one of your love ones one day on this list. The Bad news is that many people die each and everyday waiting for a transplant beause of this shortage.

 Every one must play a part in this Gift of Life for there is no crystal ball that will foretell if you will be the next person in need of this act of Love. What most people do not realize… is that one donor can save up to eight lives and enhance the lives of 50 others. You may find insightful answers to other questions regarding the donation process.

You  may become an Organ Donor,  be sure to discuss your wishes with your love ones, seek answers from your professionals, and become part of this extraordinary act of love. With out this Gift of Life, I surely would  watched my wife’s life wither away. Perhaps she would not even be here today, for this gift, of a new kidney, has allowed her enjoy now 9 years of life. It was such a blessing for our family and there are no words for appreciation and thanks that can be said.
