Today, I was exploring some natural products from our visitors suggestions and comments. It seems there are always a new products that  come onto the scene and perhaps gain popularity. I was intrigued that this product was all natural, organic, and actually had a “Fresh Until Date”, just like your favorite food. How can this be that your favorite shampoo have such an attribute…

Here is why!

It is no secret that many kinds of chemicals are being used in our salons, which use toxic products in ammonia-filled color treatments.   For most, it’s just acceptance,  never considering what parabens, chlorides, petrochemicals, sulfates, glutens, plasticizers, silicones, or synthetic fragrances actually are.

You  and I know, the cosmetic industry is reliant on petroleum-based products.  Research shows we’re finding auto-immune diseases and cancers linked to their prolonged use.  When we read cosmetic ingredient lists, they are comprised of chemicals that are unpronounceable to most of us.  Do we really need product containing so many preservatives that they  often have a  shelf  life of more than two years and come in colors not  even found in nature? We’ve become conditioned to this, and with this  conditioning we’re harming ourselves.  A typical American  woman uses 250 different chemicals every day just with her beauty  treatment. Could all those manufactured chemicals be harming her?

Organic Healing Properties

Our bodies absorb what we  apply to our skin.  Do you want to treat it with harmful, chemicals?  Fruit has many healing properties and is used in health care products.  Papaya is used in remote areas of India to help heal  burns by placing the fleshy fruit on the problem area. This fruit has  the highest concentration of amino acids and is full of essential vitamins.  Mango is a shining star containing phytochemicals.  Because of its high iron content, this fruit is a treatment for anemia.

By looking at nature as a source for beauty and health, ELAVA Botanik has formulated natural hair care products using organic  ingredients.  The beauty industry makes many  claims tying beauty to health, but often their claims lack any true  meaning.  Food containing phenolic compounds have antioxidant, anti-cancer, and cardiovascular abilities. Herbal pulps vs. herbal extracts

Herbal extracts are the most common form of herbal ingredient found in hair and skin care products.  Manufacturers use herbal extracts for convenience and cost. Extracts are chosen over pulps for their longer shelf  life and can be purchased year-round from wholesale suppliers.

When hair care products list an herbal extract as an ingredient, that  product contains alcohol and usually has less herbal content compared to  products using herbal pulps.  Herbal extracts generally last as long as  three years.

Today with exposure to so many chemicals… it seems delightful to hear that someone is taking the necessary steps to turn the Body  Care Industry Organic! Now I know this is just a  small pebble in a giant industry, but we have to start somewhere. I have this product on my webpage as well.
