* Excessive sweating started sometime before the person is 20 years old
* Family members may have hyperhidrosis, but not always.
* Social embarrassment and isolation can occur from “Sweating Problems”.
The Diagnosis of Hyperhidrosis can include the following exams and procedures.
Hyperhidrosis exams so if there is usually a clamminess and dripping of sweat affecting the palms and soles, which stops just above the wrists/ankles, these people are usually not overly anxious and the physical examination (including vital signs and neurology exam) is normal.
Blood and Urine Tests, With the medical history, and an exam, the selected blood tests are completed, to rule out hyperthyroidism, diabetes, acromegaly and pheochromocytoma. Thermoregulatory Sweat Test. CONSULT YOUR REGULAR DOCTOR FOR AN EXPLANATION!
Some clinics may also document the distribution of the excessive sweating via the Thermoregulatory Sweat Test.
The above exams help direct physicians to accurately diagnose the individual for hyperhidrosis and can
define the severity of the sweating problem.
