Todays Health Article

March 24th, 2011

Today we are crying out as individuals, as a nation, and as a planet. Crying out sometimes, can be related by our actions or  just sometimes, virtually crying out loudly, expecting to be heard. Yes, most are expecting to be heard of their sadness, their pleas for help or their needs for happiness. Today we are looking deeper into why…Nobody is listening to those cries these days. You may immediately say, That is the furthest from the truths. Yet, what are we really listening too. A great example maybe why are there so many reality shows on the TV these days, one reason people fall into, the characters playing out a part of their own real life examples.  Charlie Sheen, I say no more. It’s is amazing that we are seeking the media today, including the Net, to council our lives. Who would of thought of that 20 years ago.

“Is no one listening to our CRYING OUT… if this is true, how healthy is our unheard tears. Are  we becoming so hardened by all that surround us, each and every day, we fail to listen. Do we not share these cry outs with others near to us, or are we painfully hiding and concealing these cry out behind closed doors.”  by Dj “http://todayshealthsite.com/is-no-one-list…our-crying-out.html

Crying

Some people may call it balling or waling. The medical term for this is to lacrimate, which also refers to non-emotional shedding of “tears”.  Most everone has expeirenced these emotions at one time or another. It is just part of life, we face the the losses of loved ones, tragedy strikes us, or events or accidents cause us to turn up the emotions. Other medical conditions can turn up the crying… hormones, and just crying for joy. Most professionals would agree this kind of crying is pretty normal, and can be therapeutic for the healing process, or a release of emotions.

Another point of view is there is several types of crying, along with these comes symptoms of release of tears. Perhaps peeling the onions, tears of pain, tears of joy, providing all a release of tears. Are these necessary  for us to be understood. Many people state, that crying makes them feel better after a good cry, a release of stress and emotion. Many have documented this not always to be true in laboratory tests, yet others claim just the opposite. So, if this is the dilemma, crying may just be over rated and completely misunderstood.

Crying out, Misunderstood

Have you met those who are through crying out with tears, other words the tears are gone, and their emotions are all over the place, and you just assume, they just need some time to get over what ever sent them there in the first place. Well not only is this being misunderstood… WE JUST STOPPED LISTENING. How many times have we walked away from a friend, whom seemed to be crying about nothing, and later found out tradegy  had struck. How many times do we have to hear about the guy who lost his job, and took his life because he could not face the consequences, or the student who struck out, taking several lives, self destruction such as 9-11, terrorists acts, world conflicts, all these started… by just one person whom has and was not heard, and felt it necessary by other than crying to be heard. Striking out!

Striking Out or Crying Out

This terminology can be sometimes held with different meaning… striking out is a release of emotions,  after tears are shed,  anger and resentment, may be taking  place, due to no one in their lives taking their pain or emotions seriously. Perhaps their  emotions are out of control due to their circumstances, trauma, medical or mental, now needs attention by professional help. Obvious this is not healthy, which can  often endanger their lives as well as others.

Crying out as a Nation

As a nation we have been  crying out more so, in the Baby Boomer Generation on down. We have felt the pain of several war conflicts, Vietnam, Desert Storm, the Iran- Iraq, Afghanistan, now recently to Libya…the loss of human life, for preservation of freedom. We have felt the pain of destruction and terrorism… 9/11 and Catrina. We now are in an economical dilemma where many families are loosing their homes due to the loss of their jobs. We are faced with 1 out 4 or about 25% of all Americans have no healthcare at all, and with states trying to make budgets in economic times, many of the state programs are being cut. With all of this going on around us, it is no wonder that we are closing our ears, not listening to others, we do not want to hear no more pain. Is this really what is happening today.

Crying out as a Planet

On top  of all the financial chaos. wars, hunger, disease, self destruction, the world may seriously crying out fro help.Just as the world turns into another day, we have had many Natural disasters in the last decade. Currently  Japan facing the tragic of not only a series of earthquakes, a resulting  tsunami, but now a nuclear situation that is  still plaguing the rest of the world, and hoping for closure. The world has faced volcanoes of destruction, hurricanes of massive destruction, record snow fall, drought and famine, and now the March 11th, earthquake and tsunami. It seems that it is just matter of time as to where in the world, mother nature is going to strike next. With all this happening we have once again become closed to listening… perhaps we have already felt so much, that we do not want to absorb any more for our fellow countries.

Seeking Help

However, unless you and I are listening, and giving this  group of people our attention, they will who continue to cry out with tears,or with actions. They may find no comfort in crying, and or seeking help because their emotions are out of control. These people are literally crying out for help.

Yet most people do not seek professional help, and certainly few of us are trained to consult, and this article likewise, but we all can learn to understand some of the symptoms that comes along for the need of seeking help.

Symptoms You Can Understand

Now understanding the complexity of human beings, is difficult to start with, especially when tragedy strikes.  The loss of love ones, a financial crisis, or marital relationships,  all of us may react in different ways and our general attitude and emotions can step into another gear. It may slide there slowly or instantly, and it may lead to reclusiveness, depression, and non eating. The symptoms can become drug related, excessive anger, to acts  suicide. Some may have all of these symptoms or just a few.

Help!

First of all is recognizing the symptoms of crying out for help, if your qualified to do so, then by all means do so, if you are not, tell them you love them in a sincere way, do not become part of the problem, and seek professional help as quickly as possible. As we are all aware many, many lives have been taken, by those wanting to be heard, they were crying out, and felt no one was listening.

Todays Health Comments

Crying out may be the beginning of the healing, the solution to us as individuals, and as a nation ,we become part of the world’s great need for help and understanding. Yes, one person can make a difference, but we need to listen more carefully, or just  be  open to listening. Perhaps that’s why we were actually given two ears as they say…. to listen twice as much! It could be that simple, It can be  just that, listening, and for most of us, this is very helpful for our healing. Although there is no time factor, certainly as our nation is crying out, the world is also, we could be a part, as one, to recognize these symptoms. These crying outs for help  have greatly led us to where we are today. Some have changed the world for a better place and others we have not seen the final chapter.
