Todays Health Article

Sept 12th, 2011

Today’s article may be the most dramatic, trauma rated, speechless, painful act ever seen, heard or felt. So many words have been given to this event, that  they would paralyzed ours eyes and ears, to leave us in total despair and certainly unbelief.  Some of us were in total disbelief  by what was spoken and what was seen. It was like some scene out of science fiction movie or Armageddon. It not only was actually occurring live through all of our media, you could actually witness moment by moment the trauma, ciaos and tragedy. It sucked you in like a big vacuum and tossed you out feeling heart ache, anger, gut wrenched sadness, and left a flow of tears rolling down your cheeks. Your now asking your self… How in this world could that happened,  yet it just did, Sept 11, 2001!

Then, Sept11, 2001

For those who were perhaps too young to remember or of global or international readers, a brief  explanation of the actions taken on Sept11th, 2011. Certianly books have been written in behalf of this day, and  our space does not allow here, but the traumatics of this day can be captured quite quicky with the following details. September 11, 2011

“ The morning was early of September 11, 2001,  when19 hijackers had taken control of four commercial airliners bound to San Francisco and Los Angeles, after taking off from Boston, Newark, and Washington, D.C. The  planes with long flights were intentionally selected for hijacking because they would be heavily fueled. At 8:46 a.m., five hijackers crashed American Airlines Flight 11 into the World Trade Center’s North Tower (1 WTC) and at 9:03 a.m. another five hijackers crashed United Airlines Flight 175 into the South Tower (2 WTC).

Five hijackers flew American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon at 9:37 a.m.  A fourth flight, under the control of four hijackers, crashed United Airlines Flight 93 near Shanksville, Pennsylvania at 10:03 a.m. after the passengers fought the hijackers. Flight 93′s ultimate target is believed to have been either the Capitol or the White House. Flight 93′s cockpit voice recorder revealed crew and passengers attempted to seize control of the plane from the hijackers after learning through phone calls that similarly hijacked planes had been crashed into buildings that morning. Once it became evident to the hijackers that the passengers might regain control of the plane, one hijacker ordered another to roll the plane and and soon afterward, Flight 93 crashed into a field near Shanksville”. resource http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11_attacks

Now, Sept 12th, 2011

The National September 11 Memorial opens to the public ( Today)Monday — a decade and a day after terror attacks brought down the twin towers of the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan.

The memorial opened yesterday, a day early on Sunday, only to victims’ family members and those attending the commemoration service at ground zero.

“We’re so proud of this memorial,” said Monica Iken, who lost her husband Michael in the attacks. “I can go see Michael. He’s home.”

Iken founded the group September’s Mission and has played an instrumental role in the construction of the site.

Iken said she comes to the site to connect with her husband. “Every time I come here, I feel the energy. It’s powerful,” she said.

 The National September 11 Memorial

The serene spot is nestled amongst a busy construction zone for 1 World Trade Center — the new skyscraper rising above the site.  The memorial focal points are a pair of granite reflecting pools, that plunge into the earth where the old twin towers once stood. These  cubical footprints, nearly an acre in size, are open to its surroundings. It’s walls are encased with dark granite and surrounded by the brass parapets engraved with the nearly 3000 names of whom lost their lives on Sept 11,2001. This included those in New York,Washington, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. It also does include those who lost their lives on the 1993 attack on the World T rade Center. It is now largest man-made waterfalls in North America.

Softening the stark lines of the pools, are more than 400 trees that line the walkways and plaza. A lone “Survivor Tree,” a Callery pear, was found in the ruins and nursed back to health.

“Looking down on those two fountains, it gives you the chills,” said Adam Romano, a concrete worker at the site. “You look at those footprints … you see those buildings as if they are still there.”

From the Eyes of the Stranger

Todays moments, actions,  the reaching outs, and dedications, will all have an impact on all who walk in the Free world. The lives will not and should not be forgotten. The compassion, prayers, and the giving of oneself, should be continued to be expressed, so those left behind, can come to cope with their trauma and their daily lives.

I know that I will seek to understand, how anyone so desperately could reach such a mindset, to take their own human life as well as others. How quickly this might happen, and life as we know it, could be changed forever. Those who seek this action, we  must come to understand, and reach out to, so that prevention of such actions will no longer exist.

Having seen, heard, and felt their pain and suffering, this should be imprinted on all, for it was not that long ago, we had not even witness such self destruction of human life. Only those acts of war declared, or undeclared,  has  had such impact on our lives and loved ones. As it now can be seen, it is no longer somebody’s else’s problem, or another countries… it is everyone today. Our place of life can no longer, as we once knew  it to be, continue to be the same. by Dj ( the Stranger)

Todays Health Comments

Today thousands of people have dedicated their lives to the tragic event of Sept 11,2001, yet we are only beginning to realize, after 10 years, the impact of this day has had on the lives of so many. The trauma left on young children, now with out parents, and the single moms and dads facing the lost of love ones. The courageous who gave their lives to save others, they are hero’s, rightfully so, has and may have, brought us closer. That mankind is capable of stepping up to the plate, when its needed, to help complete strangers, no questions asked. There were more prayers given on this day, than any day I can remember, though I could be wrong,  only God would know. The health impact for those who lived through its disaster has been a continous battle. I write this from a strangers point of view, not knowing those who have given their lives or have dedicated their lives to this date, Sept 11, I just felt your compassion, pride, pain, and tears.
